Our Story

We met in college...

My husband, TJ, and I have an amazing love story that started back in college. We both had secret crushes on each other, but life took us on different paths. It’s funny how things work out because years later, we both ended up on Christian Mingle and reconnected. Boom! Sparks flew, and we knew in no time that we were destined to be together forever. We tied the knot in 2015 and it has been a wild ride.

TJ is my rock and my unwavering source of encouragement. He always knows exactly what to say or do to make me laugh. Together, we’ve weathered numerous ups and downs.

Our shared motto of “Same team!” has become the resounding anthem of our marriage. With TJ by my side, I feel invincible, ready to conquer whatever challenges come our way. His unwavering support is the fuel that keeps our love burning strong.

The journey to motherhood was challenging...

Sammie

I am the proud mother of three precious lives. Our path to parenthood was not without its challenges. Our hearts were broken when we experienced the loss of Sammie in an early miscarriage. We took the necessary time to heal, but our desire to expand our family remained strong. We made the decision to start the intense process of becoming foster parents.

Ezekiel

Soon after receiving approval as foster parents, life surprised us once again. We discovered that we were expecting! We joyfully welcomed Ezekiel into our lives, and approximately a year later, we were elated to learn that our family would be growing yet again.

Allister

The pregnancy with our third child was filled with challenges, and the birth itself was a frightening experience that led to a NICU stay. However, our unwavering determination paid off as we finally brought little Allister home. Unfortunately, our journey took another unexpected turn. Shortly after our return home, I was readmitted to the hospital with Post-Partum Preeclampsia. It was a difficult and trying time for our family.

Presently, our family feels complete. We had several placements during our three years as a foster family but we decided to temporarily close our home to fostering. We eagerly look forward to the day when our two boys are a little older, and we can resume fostering.
